Re: Improvements to ascent rate measurement / visualizations

Same observation and same question from me. I can turn off the warning on the graph but I'd like to know what triggers it in the first place.

How is RMV calculated?

Hello everybody, I was just wondering about RMV calculations. When figuring out the volume of gas consumed, does MacDive assume the gases are ideal or does it take into account compressibility issues? A change from 230 bar to 200 bar isn't the same volume change as it would be from 80 bar to 50 bar,...

Phone and computer out of sync

I'm having a weird issue. A few weeks ago I did 2 dives (#74 and 75), synced my dive computer (Perdix) to my iPhone, did a cloud sync and then went to MacDive on my computer. Only dive #74 showed up on my computer. Today I did dive #76, went through the syncing process again and dive 76 appeared on ...

Switching from imperial to metric

I'm switching from doing all my diving in imperial to metric and found something odd when I changed the units in MacDive. New dives all work perfectly but the tanks from my previous dives (ft^3 and psi) changed the designated units without doing any calculations. For example, I did a dive on a Steel...

Re: SAC & RMV Differences

Sorry, I'm still a little confused. If I use 500psi over 10 minutes at 2atm, my SAC rate should 50/2 or 25psi/(min*atm) but I can't use that number to compare different dives using different tanks. When calculating RMV, is my 50 psi/min then divided by 2atm before using tank info to convert to cubic...

SAC & RMV Differences

I know some similar questions have been asked in these forums but I have a couple of questions I haven't been able to find an answer to. 1. Is the only difference between SAC and RMV (besides the units) that SAC rate is at the surface and RMV is at depth? If not, what are the differences between SAC...

Re: Merging non-repetitive dives after surfacing

Thank you so much, Nick. I can't tell you how great it is to be able to get answers to questions so quickly. I've never regretted purchasing MacDive and you're a big reason why.

Merging non-repetitive dives after surfacing

During a dive today I had to surface in the middle of the dive to communicate with my buddy. We were together on the surface for a couple of minutes then went back down and finished our dive. When we imported into MacDive from her Shearwater and my Suunto, it breaks up the dive into 2 parts and cons...

Photo sharing/syncing

Hello everybody, My buddy and I both just started using MacDive and we've got a lot of photos we're trying to share with each other. I've got 2 questions about MacDive's photo capabilities: 1. When I drag pictures from the Photos app into MacDive I get a message about it being exported at lower qual...
