thanks for your suggestions. In my case the error was with the USB cable.
Charging still worked but not the communication with my MacBook.

No import possible from Icon HD with OS X 10.9
Hi, after updating to Mavericks I'm no longer able to download dives from my Mares Icon HD. MacDive (V.2.26) is not able to find any serial ports during a scan via preferences/advanced. When checking the OS for connected devices via the Terminal app I can't see any USB or serial entry for my Icon HD...
