You want the PC countdown to come up, that indicates it is in transfer mode.

If that is flashing off it sounds like a bad connection, dodgy cable, dirty contacts etc. You won't be able to download if it doesn't remain in PC mode counting down, that means it's ready to be connected to.

This appears to work fine for me (and uses the exact same code as the iPhone).

Could you please..
  1. Go to Settings > Enable Debug Logging
  2. Try adding the file again
  3. Go back to Settings and tap my Email, to email me the log
Will take a look and see if it's erroring for some reason.

The most common problem with the Pro Plus 2.1 is plugging the cable in upside down. It fits both ways, but only works one way. Otherwise make sure you don't have low battery. The most likely issues would be low battery, or using an incompatible USB hub. Try a USB port on the other side of the MacBook Pro (depending on which model, some ports aren't equal). Etc.

I'm not aware of any M1 specific issue, not sure why there would be. Perhaps try disabling/enabling bluetooth or rebooting.

The macOS version already has a way to associate the photos based on timestamp etc, and they will appear on the profile. Can you please go to Tools > Send Database and email me your data.

Nothing was changed, this is read directly from the device. If anything, it would be an EON firmware update that changed this, not MacDive.

To your first point, in list view if you had a country and/or location selected in the column browser then sure it could probably pre-fill those. I will make a note to do that. To your second, a "Duplicate site" would make more sense to me than this. It seems like a bit of an edge case in how you pe...
