2.1.1 Released

Post by nick »

All,

2.1.1 is now live. This is mostly a bug fix release, but has some goodies. The biggest improvement is that downloading from Oceanic devices (particularly the OC1, Pro Plus 2.1 and VT4) should be significantly more reliable.

A big thank you to Denny who contacted us about his OC1 and donated a chunk of his spare time to making some real improvements. Thanks very much, and I hope everyone finds downloading from these devices much less of a pain in the butt than it has been. Please drop me an email or post if you have an Oceanic and have had problems in the past. We're very keen to hear from you and whether the improvements help out.

There's also (finally) support for the Icon HD Net Ready. As always, let me know if you have any problems!

Release Notes -

New Features:
Added support for Mares Icon HD Net Ready.
Added support for latest Mares Icon HD firmware.
Significant improvements to download reliability of Oceanic devices.
Added flag for Antarctica.
Modified OSTC parser to read max depth from the device (not the samples).
General Dive Log sync improvements.
Improved main dive profile drawing.
Renamed "Merge Selected" to "Join Selected Dives".
Various minor UI improvements.

Fixed issue syncing non-standard GPS coordinates from Dive Log.
Fixed issue where the number of certifications might not display correctly.
Fixed issue where playlists with no title could cause a crash in certain cases.
Fixed issue where username would print without certain characters.

Should be fixed in the latest beta.

I have been unable to import XML files exported from MacDive. I have multiple logs on different computers downloaded at different times. I would like to merge my dives into one central log. I created multiple XML exports, but I cannot import them. Initially I kept crashing, but I installed the beta fix above and now instead of crashing, I just get a message "Import Complete:no new dives found". This happens with each XML file I attempt to import. Same on txt files created in CSV export.

You will need to use UDCF, or do it through Dive Log (to maintain a little more information).

I tried to import through Dive Log - but the app is crashing!
The loss of information through UDCF is not very much appreciated.

Is there any other way to import DiveLog files properly?

You would need to send me the data that is crashing so I can take a look. If you mean Dive Log as in syncing to iOS, see the section on reporting problems in the iOS Syncing Guide in the help.

You can also try the latest beta: http://www.mac-dive.com/downloads/MacDive_Beta.zip

There were some Dive Log Sync fixes.
