2.1.0 MacDive will not open...

Post by Brian »

I just upgraded to the 2.1.0 MacDive. After the update it will not open; this is repeatable. I am running Snow Leopard, on an Intel system.

Before the upgrade to 2.1.0, I was running whatever version was current (2.0.x).

Here's the Problem Report that the OS generates:

EDIT: I removed the crash report - please just email it to me, it's stripped and contains little useful information.

Please email me your MacDive.sqlite file. I'll look at this ASAP.

Same thing here... I can't open after upgrading. I tried going to the web site and downloading the application again, reinstalling, no success. I'm still getting this error:

edit: I have removed the log. Please do not post crash reports, email them to me. I typically read the forum on my phone and it makes it much more difficult!

Also - there are two choices here. I can fix your data files and send them back, or I can send you instructions on how to re-update, once I get the new version up.

If you would prefer me to fix the data file, please email it to me. If you would prefer to just re-update, then email me and let me know - I'll send you some instructions along with a fixed version.

Ok - the issue here with "type" is fixed (this is what you both saw).

You will want to fix any smart dive logs you have, though - they will work, but you won't be able to edit them properly. So just rebuild them using the new "Types". I will try and get a fix in for this for the future, but for now, it's backwards compatible to an extent.

Apologies for the inconvenience, and thanks for the quick reporting!

So we re-download and re-install MacDive from the link on the web site?

Edit: nevermind, that what I did and I can open the program now. Thanks Nick!!!

Yep, you got it.

Great - apologies again for the inconvenience. I would still recommend rebuilding any playlist you have that involves "type", since that should now be "types", but it will work as is for the moment.
