2.1.0 - Out Now

Post by nick »

Now that the new release of Dive Log is available, here's a new version of MacDive to coincide.

As usual, please let me know if you have any issues. This is a reasonably big update, but hopefully all is well - thanks to everyone who did a little bit of testing or helped out providing testing data etc. Enjoy!

IMPORTANT: MacDive no longer supports PPC machines. If you are using a PPC Mac, then do not upgrade. Leopard is also no longer officially supported. This version likely still runs without issue, but it will not be supported. It may stop working at any new release, as I will not be ensuring that it does work.

New Features:
Added support for the Aeris Atmos AI 2.
Added support for the SeemannSub XP5.
Added support for the Suunto D4i.
Added support for the Suunto D6i.
Added support for the Suunto D9tx.
Added support for new HW OSTC Firmware.
Added Shearwater XML Import.
Improved Mares Icon HD downloading.
Added a "Divers'' section to record your personal information.
Weight is now synced with Dive Log.
Surface Conditions now synced with Dive Log.
Signature is now synced with Dive Log.
Site Maps/Photos are now synced with Dive Log.
Personal information is now synced with Dive Log.
Certifications are now synced with Dive Log.
General Dive Log sync improvements.
Gear is now only automatically added if the diver and owner of the gear match.
Added ability to apply an offset to camera times when auto adding images.
Added support for timezones.
Added some new items to dive statistics.
Added new Download Option (To allow resuming after download errors without creating duplicates).
Added Weight to equipment, and Groups show the total weight of their items.
Added new Smart Dive Log filters.
Added signature to PDF/Printed logs.
Added US State flags.
Added a new Dives By Depth graph to statistics.
Added a count to Smart Dive Logs in the side bar.
Added ability to assign an image for the back of a Certification Card.
Added a placeholder image for CoverFlow view if there are no photos.
Added support for GPS from SDE files (custom attribute).
Added ability to view all photos taken at a dive site.
Improvements to the Smart Dive Log panel.
Dive Inspector photo browser now remembers last zoom setting.
General interface changes for improved Lion support.
File -> New Dive is now New Item and will now work on Gear, Sites, etc.
Table columns now save their width, rather than autosizing on startup.

Bug Fixes:
Fixed a large number of Dive Log sync issues.
Fixed issue where data sorted by duration wouldn't be correctly sorted.
Fixed a display issue where profile points could be drawn outside of the graph area.
Fixed some interface layout issues.
Fixed some memory leaks.
Fixed issue where printing/pdf export would list total bottom time for all divers, not each diver.
Fixes an issue where some surface times in Dive Log could cause problems during a sync.
Fixes an issue where the gas mix could be incorrect in certain cases for dives from a Cobalt.
Fixes an issue with downloading from a Puck Air, where not all dives would be downloaded.
Fixes an issue with incorrect temperatures on a Puck Air.
Fixed an issue with incorrect temperatures on a Pro Plus 2.1.
Fixed issue with oxygen mix not being read from certain devices.
Fixed data import issues with Tusa Zen IQ900.
Fixed buddy autocompletion matching incorrect names.

Hi there,
I'm afraid I've just upgraded from 2.0.6 and MacDive now won't open. It went through ok and prompted for the message to restart the app but I now just get an error that MacDive quit unexpectedly.
I'm on 10.6.7 on an MacBook Air
Thanks in advance

Hi Nick,
I tried to update from 2.0.6 running on 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro. After downloading the file I get the message "Udate is improperly signed" and than I only can cancel the update.

Please email me, I will send you the new version. I just had to make a small configuration change so you may have happened to download it in that window, which would have caused this.

Actually you can just grab it from the website. Email me if you have any issues (safari may have cached it), and I can send you the new version.

Great - sorry about that. There was literally a window of a few seconds where this was possible to happen. :)

Dragging image to new gear still won't work for me, it stopped working when I updated to Lion.

Still has the 'bug' of Canadian water temps being displayed in Celsius. It should be water temp in F, and air in C. Don't know why we do it that way, we're just weird.

the drag & drop images to new gear is now functional with 2.1.0 using Lion for me

but I can't type a Purchase Price to the gear anymore, no matter what format I type, I always get:

The value "100" is invalid. Please provide a valid value.

The Cobra3 sync bug is perpetual have to sync twice to wake up the Cobra

thanks for you help
