Wrong purchase date - please help

Post by Borgstrom »

Hi

I've noticed that the purchase dates for all my equipment is set as the latest entry which is kind of annoying.
Is there any way around this?
I use a licensed version 2.0.6.

Thanks,

Could you email me your MacDive.sqlite file, and also send me some screenshots/more detail as to the problem?

From a quick check of the gear view, I don't see anything obviously wrong.

The only thing I can see is that if you don't have a gear date set, then the date picker defaults to the last date it was set to - so if I change a purchase date then select another piece of equipment that doesn't have a date, it will be showing that date.

You can fix it by putting in an actual purchase date for your gear - otherwise it's just a meaningless value (it just looks a bit funny seeing that date I guess).

Thank you for your posts.
I've been searching for the Macdive.sqlite file for a long time now but I simply can't find it. Shouldn't it be located in Library > Application Support? I can't even find the MacDive folder in Application Support. Any ideas?

Thank you,
Brian

You are probably looking in the system library and not your user one then.

It's probably not necessary, though. I believe I see what the problem is - if you set dates, then they will be displayed. If you don't, the last date you looked at/edited will be displayed, though it's really just a placeholder.
