Units of measurement.

Post by GKirkaldie »

In the units, we can select Imperial, Metric or Canadian.

If you select Canadian, it gives you depth in feet, and temp in Celsius. However, I don't know anyone who uses Celsius for water temperature. We use Fahrenheit for water temp, but Celsius for Air temp.

It is a good idea, but I find I have to keep switching back and forth when entering the data.

At least in Ontario, I know of no-one who does water temp in F.

Have you looked into this?

Now I've been diving with some who gets relies on me for the details, but gets mad at me because I tell her the air temp in F, and she wants to write it down in C. I tell her she needs to ask me while still in the car, so I can tell her from the temp display on car, before I've converted it to F.

Err, odd. Ok - I can look at changing it.
