Preserve data on merge

As per my other request, I’d like to be able to create a dive on the iOS app while I’m out and then merge with an imported dive at home.
I have a Garmin Descent Mk1 and on import MacDive puts the entry and exit location in Notes. The problem is that when merged with a dive created with the iOS app, the Notes from the import are not kept even though there were no Notes added on the iOS app.
