Would it make sense to sort service history by date?

You can click the column headers to sort by whatever you like.

I've set it to date by default for the next update.

Ops, sorry. I am used to see a sort of icon to indicate sorting, and I did not even try. #facepalm

There was no icon because it wasn't sorted by default, it was just in whatever random order it happened to be. In the next update you'll get a sort indicator on the date column as expected!
