Hey,

It would be great if you could describe the problem. For instance do you get an error? And if so, what is it ?

Nothing has changed in regards to downloading from a Suunto. Often it's a low battery or bad connection. But if you could provide an error message it would certainly help.

Hello,
Just arrived on the forum, looking for some help.
I have a Macbook Air with Mac OsX El Capitan (Ver 10.11.3).
I have the latest DM5 version available on Suunto Web Site installed.
I have the latest drivers (FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_3) installed.
I open the application, connect the D4i and... nothing happen!
The dive computer is showing "Data Transfer" but in DM5, nothing is connected.
On another Macbook running with a previous version of Mac OsX, it works fine, using the same USB cable and the same DM5 version.

Can anybody tell me if there is a specific fix for El Capitan or if I just have to forget using DM5 for now...???
 :(

Thanks in advance

No, I use DM for a long time and have all my dives in there.
Now, I'd like to move my wife's dives to her Macbook Air instead of keeping them with mine.
I know DM and would like to keep it.

But you should try it, even just as an act of courtesy as this is the forum for the superb handmade software called MacDive ...

I am using MacDive and as a kind of backup I also upload my dives to DM5 which is not an alternativ at all. Both works fine with Mac OS X 10.11.4b and my Suunto D6i.

For Suunto Support have a look here: http://www.suunto.com/Support/Repair-se ... e-Request/

Thank you for the information.
I'll give it a try... I promise.
Actually, I didn't know about the application! I search for an answer to my issue and found this forum which was talking about DM5 issues... and I posted my question.
Now, I could look at this application features and see if it may suit my needs and... why not replace DM5!
We'll see.

I can see that the free version is limited but I cannot find the price for the full version...
I can't give it a "honest" try with a limited version while the stunt one is free!
If it's not too expensive, I could eventually buy it.

I am sorry, I really have no idea what a 'stunt version' shall be (I am not a native speaker!).

As mentioned I know and use both, but there is no comparison!

Have a look here, the price is US$ 25,- (ca EUR 23) including support by the author and it's good value:

I am sorry once again to be stuck for an answer regarding your Mac problem.

Thanks europaeer!

Droopy, as explained, this is the forum for MacDive. Feel free to give the trial a whirl (it can import all of your DM5 data as well), but if you're looking for help with Suunto's software then you will need to contact them.

Thanks

Thank you Europaeer for the answer.
There has been a change in my previous post... I don't know what the "stunt one" is... I wanted to write Suunto and I guess there has been some automatic corrector or so changing the word.
Nevertheless, the price seems reasonable so I will probably buy it.
Furthermore, if it can import my dives from DM, it's even better.
Thanks also Mac Dive Support, and you're right, I will turn to Suunto for some clarification on the compatibility with El Capitan.
I assume Mac Dive is full compatible with that last OsX version...???
