Failure to connect for D9 - error code -5

Using OX7.1 on iMac 27", I keep getting an error "
failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-ST000001' (Error Code: -5)
when trying to download from my D9. I'm using Suunto D9 original cable and the driver listed (FTDI 2.2.16) on the Macdive website. I have also reloaded the driver with the same result. Thanks for your advice

Do you have low battery?

If not, try jiggling the cable around and re-importing a few times. I get this on my own D9 sometimes - just not quite connected right, and it can take a couple of tries.

No, my battery was recently replaced - the giggling did work and all now downloaded

Great. Like I say this happens to mine, too. I think it's just the cable/connection being a bit worn, as I never used to have the problem. It's been beaten around a bit over the years though, so to be expected I guess!

Glad you got it sorted though :)
