Suunto Vyper won't connect to MacOS 14.0

Hello.

I have a Suunto Vyper with a Suunto USB-A cable. I installed the latest MacDive (which I intend to buy if I can get this working) and am using a USB-A to USB-C connector cable for the Suunto to Macbook Air (no USB-A ports on Macbook Air).

The Vyper isn't recognised as connected which I plug it in and open MacDive (I get an error 7 when trying to import and the computer isn't listed in the UI), however a USB device is acknowledged when checking in Terminal (listed as "tty.usbserial-ST01C7IH").

Help please.

I wasn't able to solve this but did manage to import my dives to Subsurface. Unsure why the dive computer worked with that but not MacDive.
