The program reports SAC in units of volume/time, but it does not know the size of the tank. What am I missing here?
The possibilities I see are:
1) pressure units/time: does not require knowing the size of the tank, but requires manual adjustment to calculate duration over a particular tank based on that value.
2) quantity units/ time:
2a) volume unders standard temperature and pressure conditions: chemical standard
2b) kg / time: phisical standard.
Both values in 2) require knowing the size of the tank.

Re: SAC calculation
It does know the size of the tank. Each gas mix has a Tank associated. You can see this in the Dive Inspector on the gases tab, when you select a gas.
See also File > Manage Tanks/Gases. Defaults are chosen for you unless you specify what you're actually using (or it can be read from your dive computer).

Oh, I see it now. Thanks.
