New Releases - macOS 2.10.4, iOS 1.3.4

Post by nick »

Hi there,

I have just released a couple of new versions.

macOS 2.10.4:
  • Added support for the Shearwater NERD 2
  • Added support for the Aqualung i100
  • Added support for the Aqualung i770r
  • Added support for the Mares Smart Air
  • Changed "Multiple Dives Selected" profile placeholder to include more useful info
  • Rewrote UDDF importer and exporter
  • Gear groups in the Gear view are now sorted by name
  • Added ability to download and visualise deco info on the profile
  • Read the GPS Exit location from FIT files and save it to Notes
  • Upgraded Tags and Dive Types smart logs to be.. smarter
  • Fix issue causing data to be recalculated unnecessarily and causing a crash after syncing in certain cases
  • Fixed background colour of Stats in dark mode
  • Fixed issue reading NDL from Divesystem/Ratio computers
  • Fixed issue where after syncing the status bar could show stats from the wrong screen
  • Fix bug where the currency symbol could be incorrect
  • Fix issue where syncing from the TouchBar wouldn't sync, if auto-syncing was disabled
  • Various minor bug fixes
iOS 1.3.4:
  • Added support for the Shearwater NERD 2
  • Added ability to export UDDF files from any dive list
  • Improved reading of UDDF files
  • Added ability to batch renumber dives
  • Added support for reading decompression info from supported devices
  • Added ability to visualise decompression info on the profile graph
  • Various minor bug fixes

A note on the Tag/Dive Types change. Previously on macOS these two fields were matched against a string. That is, if you had the tags "Cave", "Foo" on one dive, and "Cavern", "Foo" on another, adding Tags = Cave failed because it was matching the string for "Cave, Foo". If you used Tags contains Cave, it was wrong because Cavern contains Cave - so both matched.

Now, it works on an individual tag basis. That is, Tag Is Cave will only match dives with the tag Cave. You can use Tag contains Cave to match both, or get funky with Tag matches Cave.* as well. Existing smart logs are not actually changed, they will only be modified if you edit and re-save them. For the most part they should work the same at that point anyway, but I just wanted to clarify the change a little as it is subtle, but offers much greater flexibility.

Also re: deco info. For Shearwater devices, right click on your dive(s) and choose "Refresh Selected" to re-process the data and read the deco info, if it was present. For other devices, this will take effect on new dives only right now. Refreshing still needs to be implemented on various models.

Hopefully this all makes sense. Feel free to hit me up for more info.

Cheers,
-nick

I tried to download the new version of the desktop app today and I received an error:

I also tried to redownload the full installer, thinking I could get around the error, but it took me to a Shimmer login page. I don't have any login credentials to Shimmer and have no idea what that is?

Thanks,
James

I have the same problem. I guess it must be a problem where the file is stored for us to download.
I guess it will be fixed later today or tomorrow.

I can't wait to have the deco info in the profile.

Thank you so much Nick for including this and for improving MacDive each and every time.

Same problem here. It works if reinstalled manually from the package linked on the site.

Nick, I use a Perdix. The option on MacDive on my Mac is greyed out (perhaps because I download from my iOS version). And on iOS I can't find that option.
Am I missing something?

Ignore the previous message. For some reason I ended up still having 2.10.3

Nick, I use a Perdix. The option on MacDive on my Mac is greyed out (perhaps because I download from my iOS version).
It will be greyed out if the dive is "up to date" and does not need to be refreshed. It's nothing to do with where it was downloaded, only when, relative to the current version of how the data is interpreted.
And on iOS I can't find that option.
It is not on iOS.
