Using MAc dive with Iphoto

Post by ralphkill »

Does anyone know if you can use Iphoto with Mac dive. I can point to the library with mac dive but not open it to get to the photos. I can open the iphoto package in finder and see the photos. I can also export the photos and add them ok, but this means I have another copy which if I delete Mac dive cannot link to.

Open iPhoto. Drag the photo(s) directly to Macdive.

That works. In case anyone else is wondering, you can't drag onto the 'add images' box in the info pane as that disappears as soon as you click on Iphoto. I dragged onto the profile of the dive and it worked beautifully.

Thanks for the help

Should be, but I haven't checked with Aperture 3 yet.

I just did a quick test by dragging a photo thumbnail from Aperture 3 into a dive and it added it correctly. So, it works as expected for a quick test.

Nice.

It should be storing the version, or master I guess if you don't have a version. But if you create a new version, then it won't be current AFAIK.
