Really nice profile graph redesign. Not sure if this is included and I just don't know how to do it, or if it's an upcoming project, but is there any way of automatically including decompression profiles into that graph? I see that there is now an NDT graph available, but once it reaches zero, there is no more information. Specifically, can it show the ceiling?

What I do now is download my dives using Shearwater Desktop, and then take a screen shot of that graph and include it in the photo field for decompression dives (see attached).

Thanks, as always for an awesome product!

Mike

Critter Size

Nick,

I live in the U.S.and am still stuck on the imperial system. Your new critters module for MacDive allows us to enter critter sizes but only in cm. Can you please modify this to allow Imperial users to enter inches/feet?

Also, I noted in your release comments that you had made changes to the Eon Steel interface. What specific changes were made? With respect to temp, MacDive does not recognize air temp. Every download shows 32 degrees Fahrenheit. How do I get MacDive to recognize the actual temperature?

Thanks and congrats on an amazing upgrade. I am a power Mac user and MacDive is hands down my favorite program. Can wait to see an iPad release!

Eric

Support for gas switches, reads tank info if possible, better alarm handling, the PPO2 is now calculated for open circuit dives and some minor bug fixes.

The air temperature is not read.

Hi Nick - loving your work and this has been a bit of an epic update :)

I noticed today a small, but reproducible annoyance:
  1. Go to "Gear" section
  2. Add a new piece of kit (yay!) - this will work
  3. Click the "+" to add a second piece of gear: application crashes
I also triggered #3 after editing a dive then going into Gear -> "+" Add -> Crash as soon as I clicked the "+"

Anyone else seeing this?

I am unable to replicate this. Please email the crash report to support.

Great update! The graphs look much nicer and I'm really excited about the critter feature finally being available on my computer.

I was thinking about the critter feature, however, and thought of something that could be really cool, but I'm not sure how easily it could be accomplished: personally I use Adobe Lightroom to manage all of my photos and part of my workflow is to add keywords to my photos so that I can find them in the future. I'm not sure what you're familiarity with LR is, but the keywords function the same as a tag or keyword in many other things like blogs, etc, allowing me to filter my photos, etc. Would it be possible to get MacDive to recognize the keywords embedded in the metadata and automatically "identify critters"? Obviously the names would have to match, but that could save a lot of clicking by preventing me from doing this twice.

I really like the idea, and yes I am familiar with LR. I prefer Aperture, though I am attempting to move to LR since it has been canned. I actually already tag my own critters in the photos.

If I could ask a favour (as I mentioned in the original post), please start a new thread if you have a request or issue. I don't mean to single you out - this is a great idea - it's just easier to track. Please also add a few more details, such as specific examples of what you tag, which fields you use, etc. Even better, send me an email with some example photos that are tagged.

Great idea Mike. I also wish I could have the deco in the profile. And in the mean time I'll apply your work around.
