Specialty Certifications

Hey guys, loving the dive software so far but is there a way to get an option for "Specialty" certifications such as PPB, naturalist, etc.? Seems kind of weird that I can add some of my certifications, but not all of them.

Also, along that same line, is there a way to get a page of the Print Summary to show a list of certs so if you actually do need to show experience for a certain course (IE tech), the summary has a record of your dives as well as certs? I'm sure that any instructor interested in your experience would want to see both to get an idea of where you're at. Thanks!

Hey there,

You can add any certification you like - just type it in. What's there are only default common options, not a limited set of choices.

Your other query, what about going to Certifications and choosing print? That prints your certifications in a similar fashion to the dive summary.

...I guess it's obvious I didn't read the manual. :) thanks Nick, great program btw! Tried a lot of dive software over the years and none of them even came close.

Thanks! Glad you like it.

This has come up a few times.. I wouldn't say it's your fault, more that the interface isn't as clear as it should be. Maybe a tooltip or some placeholder text or something could make it more obvious.

Yep that print certification summary feature is too buried for such a great feature!

Would also be good if the certification print could include a brief summary of dive experience, e.g. total dives, date of last dive, sites dived, countries dived in, number of dives >18m, dives>30m, night dives and all the other stuff that PADI dive shops typically ask for when you are booking a holiday or course with them.

I know there is the excellent print dive summary but that makes for a very big pdf.

FWIW, I add each specialty I like to track as a "Dive Type" and I have a Smart Divelog so I can see all dives of that type. I track Drift, Wreck, Reef, Salt Water, Pool, Nitrox, Boat & Shore dives this way.

In addition, Deep Dives can be added automatically using the Max Depth filter
