Maveriks (OSX 10.9) compatibility ?

Post by parthenon »

Hi,

I Just upgraded my MacBook Air with OSX 10.9 Mavericks, Eveything works fine... except MacDive 2 which hangs at startup without showing any window. (I have a file with more than 100 dives which used to work fine before).

Anything to do, or just wait for a computability upgrade ?

Thanks for your help.

Denis

PS : As it hangs, I'm not sure of my version number, but it should be the last available, as I use MacDive rather often and accept all upgrades as soon as they are available...

For the most part, yes, it is compatible, though there are a couple of minor issues I am working through. Please drop me an email, as I have a beta available that may work - it has helped almost everyone with a similar sounding issue, just one guy that I'm still working with to resolve.

Not working for me on Mavericks either.

I get lots of logs like the following, and the app just bounces in the Dock without ever starting

Oct 29 23:19:52 slothrop.local WindowServer[130]: disable_update_timeout: UI updates were forcibly disabled by application "MacDive" for over 1.00 seconds. Server has re-enabled them.
Oct 29 23:19:53 slothrop.local MacDive[11049]: Error: this application, or a library it uses, has passed an invalid numeric value (NaN, or not-a-number) to CoreGraphics API. This is a serious error and contributes to an overall degradation of system stability and reliability. This notice is a courtesy: please fix this problem. It will become a fatal error in an upcoming update.
Oct 29 23:20:06 slothrop.local WindowServer[130]: disable_update_likely_unbalanced: UI updates still disabled by application "MacDive" after 15.00 seconds (server forcibly re-enabled them after 1.00 seconds). Likely an unbalanced disableUpdate call.
