Importing dives from PC OEM software

Post by fredr1 »

I apologize if this has been asked a billion times - I couldn't find anything using the search function - but is there ANY way to import dives from a .dlg file created by PC software? I have both the Sherwood Insight (metal buttons) and Aeros Atmos ai DCs with over 100 dives logged using the PC software from their respective companies, but the DCs themselves only hold the last 50 dives (24 for the Atmos ai). I'd REALLY be a happy camper if I didn't have to enter the 50+ earlier dives by hand. Any way to do that?

No problem at all.. You can't import the .dlg itself, but both of those apps will export TXT files for you, and those can be drag/dropped on to MacDive to import them.

If you have any trouble, drop me an email.

Thanks for this info.
I have tried what you said (ie saving the files in .txt format) but when i drag and drop into Mac dive it says file contain no dive ... there should 89 in them ...
is it a question format?
should I go with comma, semi-colon or tab ? as requested by the OEM Aeris Computer Interface 2.x ...

thank

Either should be fine. If you are having problems, email me an example file to look at.
