Switching from imperial to metric

Post by acreichman »

I'm switching from doing all my diving in imperial to metric and found something odd when I changed the units in MacDive. New dives all work perfectly but the tanks from my previous dives (ft^3 and psi) changed the designated units without doing any calculations.

For example, I did a dive on a Steel 100 (100ft^3, ~3400psi) that, after switching units in MacDive to Metric now shows up as a 100L, 3400bar tank. My air used updates (1466psi to 113bar) but because the tank itself doesn't update, my RMV goes from 0.61ft^3/min to to 141L/min (equivalent to 5ft^3/min) instead of the 17L/min it should be.

I wasn't sure if this belonged in feature requests or support but since the values being displayed are incorrect, I put it here. Sorry if this is the wrong place.

The tank values are not converted, sorry. You'd need to update them manually.

Note that working pressure is not used for anything in metric, so you can ignore it. The size though, you would need to update.
