Handling of two tanks

Post by ATJ »

I have a dive site that I dive regularly and I pretty much always use two tanks: a 12.2L and a 5L. I start with the 12.2L and use it until I get to around 100bar and then switch to the 5L until it gets to around 50bar and then I generally use the 12.2L for the rest of the dive.

I haven't been able to work out how to make MacDive correctly reflect the use of the two tanks with respect to SAC. Further, when I have imported data from my Perdix AI it only shows the one tank even though I had it set up for both tanks.

OK, it was less about pulling the transmitter data from the Perdix and more about being able to calculate the SAC when two tanks were used.

I added this to the second thread above, but I'll add it here, too.

I'd be happy if I could tell MacDive just to combine the air used from both tanks and calculate the SAC from that.

For example, from an actual dive:
12.2L 230 -> 30 = 2440L
5L 234 -> 39 = 975L
Total: 3415L
Duration: 108 minutes
Average consumption: 31.62L/min
Average Depth: 14.1m
SAC = 13.1L/min
