Cheers. I took a quick look - they just need an identifier. If you add that then they will import. If you miss a dive, then MacDive is actually erroring internally and essentially doing nothing, so just make sure you add it to all of them.
It should really handle that, I'll add a note to fix it. The reason it doesn't just make an identifier is that if you dragged the XML file again, it would re-import everything. Generally this would be for sharing data so the id's would be set.
