Hi, I'm struggling to get my Mares Smart to connect to MacDive... to be fair I also couldn't get it to connect to iDiveDiary after downloading 'fixes' and multiple restarts. All help gladly received.
Error code is: Failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART' (Error Code: -8)

If it doesn't work in Divers Diary then I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work in MacDive. Do you have low battery? That's one of the more common reasons for connection failure. Do you have access to a different cable?

Thanks Nick. The cable is brand new and the battery isn't low. Super frustrating.
