Re: Using iCloud sync, Mac and phone show 2 more dives than
No, it shouldn't be hard at all. The other way to do this is instead of disabling sync on the i-devices, just nuke the app to clear out all of their data. And then re-install, so they are only pulling data down and not trying to merge in any way. Nothing should ever be deleted. As the sync is only ...

Re: Using iCloud sync, Mac and phone show 2 more dives than
1. Disable sync on all devices, bar one 2. On that, choose "Reset Cloud" 3. Wait for an hour 4. Enable sync on one device 5. Wait 20-30 mins 6. Enable on the next device 7. Repeat until done Did as directed, using the OSX desktop as the "anchor device". Enabled sync on one of th...

Using iCloud sync, Mac and phone show 2 more dives than iPad
I'm using iCloud sync. The two dives I did back in January of this year show on my iPhone and desktop, but no amount of synch attempts gets them onto either of my iPads. Suggestions?

Suunto SDE import tank data (again)
I have been through this, but it was long enough back that I don't remember exactly what happened or what I had to do to fix things. But now my SO/dive buddy is making the move to MacDive, and is seeing the same issue. Her data imports from SDE okay, but she winds up with tanks with sizes in Imperia...

Re: Average Depth vs Max Depth used for SAC rate
SAC has always been based on the average depth. Average or weighted average? If I do a 60 minute dive and 40 minutes of it is spent at 60 feet and the balance on descent, ascent and safety stop, I wouldn't expect that to be calculated as all being at 30 feet for SAC purposes. Weighted average, base...

Re: What are the units displayed for SAC?
Yes, my bad. When my SDM data got imported, MacDive created tanks with working pressures and sizes, but seems to have created the pressures in bar...even though my units were all imperial. Once I changed both the tank size and pressure to imperial, I got pretty reasonable SAC numbers. Off from what ...

Re: Site/location/country pulldown--any way to clean out jun
Go to Sites and delete the ones you don't want. The list view will make bulk deleting Easier. So the "Unknown Country" entries only show up in list view. I can select the ones I'd like to delete, but can find no way to delete them. "Delete" is greyed out in the Edit menu. Hittin...

Site/location/country pulldown--any way to clean out junk?
SDM doesn't have a "country" field, so all of my dives imported into MacDive with "Unknown Country". I have gone back and cleaned this up (by hand--not a lot of fun for 700 dives, if I ever had to do this again, SDM's XML files will meet Mr Perl first!), but now have all of the &...

What are the units displayed for SAC?
I have gotten my dives (finally) massaged into MacDive...just in time apparently, since it looks like Suunto has pulled all of the standalone versions of SDM and replaced them with some semi-cloud-based nonsense. Anxiously awaiting for the iOS synch stuff to settle. In the interim, one thing is stil...
