Re: Would like a richer, more structured "buddies" feature
Thanks. Good to know. Once I manage to clean up the variations, I'll definitely remember to do this. js Additionally, you can then select MacDive --> Settings --> Advanced --> Optimize Database to remove the misspellings so they won't come up again as suggestions. That only works if the misspelled-b...

Re: Would like a richer, more structured "buddies" feature
thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into this. Problem I see, though, is I can't tell what all my variations are, since we don't have a list of "buddies", unlike the list of "sites" we have. So I'd have to look at each of my 1000+ dives one at a time and note down all buddies va...

Would like a richer, more structured "buddies" feature
Please tell me if I'm missing something and some of that is already feasible. I use MD on my iphone, ipad and MacBook. All sync'ed through cloud. (typical). As I add a new dive and add buddies to it, I find that the same buddy has multiple entries, sometimes spelled the same, sometimes not. E.g. whe...

MacDive on MacBook Pro M1 Big Sur won't connect with Perdix
Hello Been using McDive for many years now. Connecting it to my Perdix was always a breeze. In recent weeks though it's not working so well. In fact it's mostly not working. 9 times out of 10 I get a "Import Error. Failed to contact device. Check Bluetooth is enabled and try again!". Then ...

Re: Support for Shearwater computers with multiple transmitters
Hi Nick,
Just switched to CCR (Divesoft Liberty) and was interested in this feature. I will hold off on buying a second transmitter until MacDive can support both though. Just so you know this feature gets an extra vote!
Thanks

Make adding site more user friendly
Hi Nick, Was just adding a new site and it seems everytime we do so we have to start from a scratch form. Why not allow a contextual "add site": If I'm currently in List View with a Location selected, prefill my "new site" form with Location information so I only have the rest to...

Re: New Release - MacDive 2.8.3 (macOS)
I guess you're right. I restored the data then forgot to disable cloud sync and restarted MacDive 2.8.3. Upon restarting MacDive, I see it loading all my existing data and at first glance it seems to be correct. Dives# are in synch with dates. But it doesn't stop there. MacDive proceeds to transform...

Re: New Release - MacDive 2.8.3 (macOS)
Hello Just upgraded to 2.8.3 a few weeks ago and upon restarting the app data appears seriously messed up. If sorting by Dive # with most recent first, the dates are no longer in chronological order. Also most locations and site names are lost, showing "unknown location" and "unknown ...
