Re: convert paper logs to csv (or whatever) then bulk import
Ahhhh... The identifier. The dive I exported and tried to change and re-load did not have an identifier at all. I deleted it under the (incorrect) assumption that is was assigned by MacDive when imported. As Maxwell Smart would say "missed it by that much...". :) The exported dive had this...

convert paper logs to csv (or whatever) then bulk import?
This has undoubtedly been asked and answered but I have been searching for several days now and not hit on the correct search term. I have about 100 dives on paper that I would like to get into MacDive without doing a manual entry each dive individually -- but that may be my only option, we shall se...

Re: View/edit list of site names? Unexplainable duplicates
OK, great, now I can see my list of identically-named sites. I have three sites called "Paseo del Cedral" with apparently the same exact data for each. Is there a way to merge these into one? I can imagine renaming one, changing the site of all of the dives on the others to the new, rename...

View/edit list of site names? Unexplainable duplicates
My list of dive sites appears to contain duplicate names which I would like to eliminate/merge (apparently I cannot attach an image ).
Is there a way to edit the list of site names so I can see why there appear to be duplicates?
Thanks,

Export dives from Mac, import into iPad
My wife would like to avoid taking her MacBook on our next dive trip. She has a supported iPad and just showed me the iOS version of MacDive. We have older Suunto Zoops and no BLE dive devices so every download involves a serial cable (something I'm pretty sure is not supported with an iPad) and typ...

Re: Dropbox sync merges new/backed- logs (yay!) but now 2 di
As always, good advice, especially about not tinkering with the sqllite file. You've created a delicately balanced ecosystem here... I now have one "me" but still two computers, both with identical serial number, etc. Is there a way to get all dives onto one computer? I'm 99% of the way th...

Dropbox sync merges new/backed- logs (yay!) but now 2 divers
Long story: After not using MacDive for a year, I prepared for a trip by installing 2.8.2 (under 10.10.5). It ran fine twice and then crashed the computer on disconnecting my Zoop. Subsequent restarts would crash. Installed 2.8.3, same thing. Suspected corrupted MacDive.sqlite file. Copied everythin...
